Doppel CACIB Wels • A Graceful Ride of Johanna Fritthum

Besides the home ones, French bulldogs from Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Czech Republic came to traditional winter double-show in Austrian Wels. Also many dogs of Austrian owners were of foreign origin. Only 31 % of entered Frenchies were born in Austria. Despite of tight international competition, the show turned to a graceful ride of Johanna Fritthum of the domestic Vom Künigelberg Kennel.

SATURDAY 08 DEC 2012 • The show was handled under the baton of Austrian judge Iris Urschitz, a long-time breeder of cavaliers. All begun already by the win of Carte Truffé Menovin, imported by Johanna Fritthum from Finland, in Junior Class in males. The second placed Freiherr Giovanni von Schloss Essling (P. Huber). Younkers from Poland and Hungary had to take up only with Very Good. One of them, Polish Repsol Pontifex Maximus (M. Tarapacz), is son of A'Vigdors Don de la Nature (J. Matuška), a male known well from our show-rings.
Mano Imperatorius Dandy Diamond to Champagne, a male of Lithuanian origin, owned by Hungarian breeder K. Jekelfalussy and entered under the name of handler N. Tibay, won the Intermediate Class, followed by Hangos Napsugar Jim, a Hungarian male owned by G. Nachtmann from Austria. Open Class winner became Varpalota-M Stella Bull Cseles Blikk, also a Hungarian male owned by Austrian lady B. Kurka; A'Vigdors Embassador Enzo d'Ovilava, a male of Russian owned by Austrian breeder D. Hofmeister-Akkad, placed the second. In Champion Class, our Daddy's Boy succumbed to other Frenchie of Johanna Fritthum, Jelle v.d. Mestreechteneerkes, imported from Netherlands. To be honest, Daddy contributed to his win by extraordinary unwillingness to perform well in the ring. Consequently, Jelle was awarded CACIB as well.

Destiny-Frenchie vom Künigelberg (J. Fritthum) dominated in young females, followed by Brioche vom Palais Hetzendorf (A. Zapula). Croatian female Adriatic Blue Rain of Love (I. Bartolic) gained CACA in Intermediate Class, Lady Gaga Marso-Bull (G. Nachtmann), female of Czech origin, placed the second. Open Class winner became Nasa Pontifex Maximus (M. Tarapacz), Ebbygal vom Wappenhaus (A. de Gaspari, P. de Gaspari-Schneider), born in Germany, took the second place.
A combat of two females of Johanna Fritthum took place in Champion Class. CACA went to Yamaika-Frenchie vom Künigelberg, while Waikiki-Frenchie vom Künigelberg was awarded Res. CACA. Consequently, both females shared CACIB and Res. CACIB as well.
Four Frenchies of only one owner - domestic breeder Johanna Fritthum - met in fight for Best of Breed (BOB) title at the end. The title was awarded to Yamaika-Frenchie vom Künigelberg.

SUNDAY 09 DEC 2012 • Even taking only the second place, Daddy's Boy completed all requirements on Saturday to be awarded the Austrian Champion title - the CACA of Jelle v.d. Mestreechteneerkes came over to him, as Jelle already is Austrian Champion. That's why we cancelled our attendance at Sunday show. The show was judged by Brigitte Bregenzer from Austria and much less French bulldogs than on Saturday entered the ring. Results of Johanna Fritthum and her dogs were only slightly worse than a day before. Carte Truffé Menovin (J. Fritthum) placed only the second in Junior Class this time. Jelle v.d. Mestreechteneerkes (J. Fritthum) defended CACIB again and latter became BOB. Destiny-Frenchie vom Künigelberg (J. Fritthum) kept the first place in young females. Waikiki-Frenchie vom Künigelberg (J. Fritthum) was more successful than Yamaika in Champion Class, won it and was awarded CACIB afterwards. Croatian female Adriatic Blue Rain of Love (I. Bartolic) took Res. CACIB this once.
