IDS Berlin, D • Standing Up Excellent to European Competition
Would many foreign Frenchies attended already the Saturday show in Diedersdorf, Sunday Berlin was really international. Ingrid Mylemans, breed specialist and chairman of The Royal French Bulldog Club of Belgium, was appointed as a judge. Owners of 57 presented (of 68 entered) Frenchies came from six countries again. German Frenchies were surprisingly in minority (23, t.j. 40 %). Thirteen bullys came from Denmark, eight from Poland, six from Netherlands, four from Belgium, three from the Czech Republic. Both our
Daddy's Boy and
Dalila Anima Canis (M. Saulichová) stood up excellent to this competition, both placed second in their class.

German exhibitors maybe knew well, why to stay at home. Ingrid Mylemans was nice but strict and gave no chance to Frenchies of German type. Only one Frenchie of German owner was among 16 bullies who placed first or second in adult and junior classes - and it even was Jasmin de la Parure, young female of Belgian origin (2nd in Junior Class). First French bulldogs of German origin placed only at fourth places. Both Frenchies awarded by CACIB, Club CAC and Berlin Winner 2011 titles were of Belgian origin as well: champions Hanna van Marvers Fortuna of Belgian couple M. Vermeulen & M. Vrancken and Guerlain de la Parure of Polish breeder J. Dzikiewicz. French male Francisco du Terrior de Fontfroide (L. H. Moerkerken, NL) and Belgian female Jarretelle de la Parure (J. Dzikiewicz, PL) won in Junior Class. It wasn't enough for Jarretelle who crowned her winning march by getting the Best of Breed (BOB) title. It was a great success for such young female, twice extraordinary in so tight competition. Little bit haughty Pole Joanna Dzikiewicz (Sweet Cookies Kennel) might be really proud of her both imported Frenchies.

Our
Daddy's Boy stroke a battle for the first place in Intermediate Class with a Belgian male Ian van Marvers Fortuna (M. Vermeulen & M. Vrancken); his Saturday conqueror Diesel House Taddy placed only third this time.
Dalila Anima Canis truckled to female Leibøll’s Adorable Andorra (S. L. Johansen, DK) in Open Class. The third representative of Czech breeding, male Maxík Čmoudovo srdce, wasn't so successful this time and was rated only very good in Open Class (but in competition of 11 males). In total, Ingrid Mylemans gave out 32 Excellents, 18 Very Goods and 3 Goods.
