IDS Nürnberg, D: A Winter Country Ride

We travelled long across snowy Czechia and Germany and waited till the late afternoon by ring to be judged by German judge Mr. Peter Machetanz. After all, Betty, our champion, received a nice report but surprisingly only very good from him. It was only a cold comfort for us to know that less than half of present frenchies were classified excellent. It beared out the feeling that a quite different type of french bulldogs is often more prefered by German judges. We prepared a small comparison for you to understand better what we mean by this.

Three females who placed much better than our Betty in Nürnberg are pictured below. Two of them were in the same class as Betty. They got Excellent 3 and Excellent 4 from Mr. Machetanz. The third female competed with CH Diva Aglaos Minimolos of Ms. Kreplova in champion class and won, getting Excellent 1 and CAC. The 2009 World Winner, female Zon Miracl Rocket Bomb, was added to belie the picture.
